They carefully sort through finalized food products and distribute them into the proper packaging.
Training Requirements:
HACCP, Food Production Work-flow (basic), Packaging Procedures
Responsibilities:
- assembles wholesale and retail packaging materials (ie boxes, cartons, bagging, etc.
) - puts together packaging materials for individual customer shipment - Weighs and labels finished products - Carefully place food products into proper packaging material - Maintains a clean working area around the packaging area to prevent injury or product contamination - Supports the Food Safety Program, Employee Safety Program, and HACCP Program by ensuring compliance with all related procedures, policies and obligations.
- Communicates positively with other team members to maximize output and efficiency - Must attend appropriate food safety and quality training sessions as required in compliance with SQF
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of mathematics - Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred - Ability to read and write in English - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a lot of physical work - Exhibits ability to follow specific instructions carefully and thoughtfully - The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently at times with high productivity and impeccable integrity - High School diploma or equivalent is preferred Processing of herbs, teas, and spices, and exists to provide customers with quality food products that meet the highest standards of safety regulations while satisfying their expectations.
We perform the basic cleaning, milling, sifting, blending, and heat treating of these ingredients that are ultimately used and savored by consumers.
