Summary:
We are hiring a Quality Control Inspector! Quality Control Inspectors are critical in the receiving, slotting, and the shipping of fresh berries.
They are detail oriented, familiar with berry characteristics (both varietal and physical appearance), effective at describing fruit health, and capable of reporting general quality conditions.
The ideal candidate for this role has at least 3
years of Quality Control experience, is a self-starter, capable of working in fast-paced environments, and comprehends the fresh produce supply chain.
Responsible for:
- Inspecting freshly harvested fruit - Assigning quality grades to fruit/lots - Using QA tools (temperature probe, weight scale, refractometer) - Reporting summaries of fruit quality to the Supply Coordinator - Ensuring product is slotted correctly in physical inventory - Coordinating PTI tags to growers - Occasional travel to different coolers - Occasional travel to company office in Salinas
Qualifications:
- Team oriented work ethic - Effective working independently - Analytical - High School Diploma or equivalent - Proficiency of Microsoft Office - Highly organized - Detail oriented - Excellent communicator - Experience with ERP systems:
