General Summary This position is responsible for managing the company benefit plans effectively and efficiently in compliance with federal and state guideline and analyzing Human Resources processes to improve efficiency by providing automated solutions for through the use of technology via Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and web-based solutions.
Essential Job Accountabilities Research and evaluate company health and welfare and retirement benefits with those of competitors in order to recommend improvements and new programs which strengthen overall plan design and employee engagement.
Identify strategies to improve employee communication and education to increase understanding of the benefit programs offered and their full economic value.
Ensure benefit plan documentation, contracts and amendments are in compliance with international, federal and state guidelines.
Manage the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes for the salaried, hourly craft and hourly Davis Bacon employees to ensure a competitive benefit package that is well understood in order for employees to make an informed decision on their benefit options.
Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers and vendors to ensure timely customer service and accurate cost-effective plan administration.
Develop and implement programs which promote employee health, wellness and contribute to overall cost containment Ensure the reliability, accuracy and security of the benefit data used for reporting and analysis purposes in order to provide managers and employees with important decision-making information relating to human capital.
Implements and maintain effective internal policies, procedures and controls to ensure accurate and timely processing and tracking of benefit transactions.
Identify opportunities to automate benefit administration and processing which improve service levels, increase efficiency and control costs.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Benefits Team.
Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
Work Experience Minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in the field of Benefits Plan Administration.
Extensive experience in the analysis, design and implementation of benefits programs Experience working with ad hoc reporting tools Experience working in a construction, engineering or manufacturing environment Knowledge, skills, and abilities Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization Excellent customer service skills Understanding of ad hoc report writing tools Demonstrated high level of proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Ability to learn new software quickly Exceptional problem solving skills with consistent follow through Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Knowledgeable with ERISA and DOL regulations Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Base Salary Range:
$134,479.
00 - $201,719.
00 Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
