Negotiates with vendors on pricing and contracts for entire Building Materials division.
Analyzes sales and inventory levels of current stock, identifies suppliers, monitors and keeps current with changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, products and materials.
Essential Job Accountabilities Comply, understand, and drive Graniterock's Core Values, including safety initiatives to ensure Safety before All Else.
Using the Working together principles, collaborate and reach across company lines and work with other operating divisions and Corporate to achieve Graniterock's overall One Company vision.
Provide daily direction to purchasing team to ensure success of the branch operation.
Assist in the recruitment, selection and coaching of Team Members on performance management to set and communicate objectives.
Trains and mentors purchasing team on how to identify opportunities and react to key item sales, market variations, market segments and division wide initiatives.
Lead Building Materials Division cost reduction initiatives through vendor management, price negotiating, master purchase order contract agreements and bulk purchasing opportunities.
Drive and promote efficiency and process improvement throughout the business area striving to Make It Better.
Using the Working together principles, reach across all building materials branches to achieve Graniterock's overall One Company vision.
Work with the operations team to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements around environmental requirements, hiring, safety and/or any laws or requirements that affect the business.
Education and Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 5
years building materials or purchasing experience 5
years progressive Building Materials or Purchasing experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of building materials business.
Ability to negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers Knowledge of building materials product uses Knowledge of general construction business practices.
Knowledge of branch's environmental best practices.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence others.
Ability to think critically and on a global level across the entire building materials division Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Ability to provide leadership in developing productivity measures and establishing processes to eliminate waste, lower costs without compromising quality.
Ability to champion Graniterock's Safety culture and drive achievement of zero lost-time injuries/property damage incidents.
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
