Big Creek Lumber Company, a leading supplier of lumber and building materials in central California, seeks a Contractor Sales/Door & Window Specialist for our Santa Cruz retail yard.
This position has substantial growth potential for someone with a strong interest in both sales and the construction industry.
What you'll do:
Perform inside sales with contractors, homeowners and walk-in customers on the phone and in the store with a focus on doors and windows Determine customer needs Efficiently and accurately generate customer quotes Place orders for doors and windows Ensure that customer orders progress smoothly from quote through delivery Build, grow and service a strong customer base Deal with any customer concerns in a pleasant, professional, effective manner Perform other job related office functions What you bring:
A good practical knowledge of building materials and construction terminology with a particular emphasis on doors and windows Outstanding phone skills Good organizational skills Effective communication skills Ability to deal with interruptions without losing focus on a specific task that needs to be done Ability to effectively prioritize tasks Excellent attention to detail Ability to work effectively with others to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction Must be bilingual English/Spanish What success looks like:
